What is EMDR?
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a structured approach that helps the nervous system and mind process experiences that feel stuck, overwhelming, or difficult to move through on their own. I can integrate EMDR selectively, based on each client’s individual needs.
I’ve found it can be especially supportive for performance anxiety, test anxiety, and the emotional impact of athletic injuries or performance-related setbacks.
EMDR can be helpful for:
Trauma and post-traumatic stress
Anxiety and panic symptoms
Depression linked to unresolved or painful experiences
Grief and loss, especially when it feels complicated or “stuck”
Phobias or specific fears
Medical trauma or difficult healthcare experiences
Distressing memories that feel intrusive or emotionally charged
Experiences that feel “stuck,” overwhelming, or hard to make sense of emotionally
